Did the Shamrock Run 5K this morning.
Was I the fastest? No.
Did I PR? Nope.
Did someone pass me looking way less tired than I felt? Absolutely.
And I don’t care.
Because I’m not in competition with anyone else.
I’m in competition with the version of me who almost didn’t go.
The version who would’ve made an excuse.
The version who cared more about how I looked than how I felt.
The only rival I have is the person I was yesterday.
And today? I won.

10k Your Way Private Coaching with Hallie
A community group for like-minded women who are part of Hallie's 10k YOUR Way program.
We discuss running, training for your upcoming 10k, nutrition to fuel those runs, and connect with others. Marathons + matcha covers all things wellness from my running journey to favorite recipes, and how to live a happier and healthier life.
Keep showing up.
Not because it’s glamorous.
Not because it’s easy.
But because this is what building something takes.
Early runs before the world wakes up.
Teaching spin when I’m tired.
Coaching strength with intention.
Meal prepping so I don’t fall off track.
This is the life of a business owner.
No one claps for the 5am alarm.
No one sees the behind-the-scenes planning.
No one feels the pressure of payroll, cancellations, slow classes, or big goals.
But I do.
And I keep showing up anyway.
Because if I expect my members to commit to themselves, I have to live it first.
Consistency is not sexy.
It’s repetitive.
It’s boring sometimes.
It’s discipline over motivation.
But it’s how you build strength.
It’s how you build a business.
It’s how you build a life.
If you’re in a season of building, don’t quit.
Just keep showing up.
Change doesn’t always look dramatic.
Most days, it looks like this.
Doing the thing you said you’d do.
Even when it would be easier not to.
Even when no one’s clapping.
The discomfort isn’t a sign to stop.
It’s usually a sign you’re growing.
Strength isn’t built in one big moment.
It’s built in the quiet choices.
Over and over again.
If you’re in a season where change feels uncomfortable, you’re probably right where you’re supposed to be.
Keep going. 💙
