Kirkbride is open for a regular day of good ol’ fashioned in-person learning.

Tomorrow, Friday, May 8th is an early dismissal day and a $1 Dress Down Day. Students will be dismissed at 12:30.

Spring is here, and that means it’s time to take the Philly School Experience Survey, the annual survey for all Philly public school parents and guardians!

Your thoughtful responses on this year’s survey will help us to improve communication with families and track our progress in improving school safety and climate.

The parent survey is completely anonymous, and you do not need a student ID number to take the survey. Just go to the link below, select your student’s grade level and school, and get started! The survey will take about 5-10 minutes, and you can enter a raffle for a $25 gift card at the end.

We only need your household to take the survey one time for our school, even if you have multiple students here. You can take the survey with your oldest student at our school in mind.

This Friday, April 17th, is an early dismissal day. Please pick your student up at 12:30.

Kirkbride will also be celebrating Autism Awareness Month on Friday, April 17 by wearing BLUE. We will have a FREE dress down day to celebrate!

Unfortunately the construction on the mini-pitch is still in process. We will be using our alternate dismissal procedures again this week, until the construction is complete.

Alternate Admission and Dismissal Procedures for Week of March 23

Monday March 23: Business as usual.

Tuesday - Friday (March 24-27) will use the following procedures:

Admissions:

We will use the inclement weather admissions for grades 1-8. The school yard will be blocked off, students can enter through the 7th Street door.

Grades 1-6: line up in the gym
Grades 7 and 8: in the lunchrooms

Dismissal:

Kindergarten will dismiss students at 3:20 normally at the Main entrance (Dickinson side). ALL parents will line up on the right side.

Grades 1-3 will be dismissed from the main entrance on Dickinson street on a staggered schedule.

Grade 1: 3:25
Grade 2: 3:30
Grade 3: 3:35

Grades 4-8 will be dismissed from the 7th street door on a staggered schedule.

Grade 8: 3:15 pm
Grade 7: 3:20 pm
Grade 6: 3:25 pm
Grade 5: 3:30 pm
Grade 4: 3:35 pm

Today is the day! Book Fair is open to students!

Classrooms have a schedule of what days and when they will be visiting the book fair.

In order to ensure students are not loosing money, you may want to send money in an envelope with the name and amount so the student can give it to their teacher.

Or another great option is to create an eWallet.

Remember students will receive a $10 voucher towards a book.

Just a reminder that school will be closed for Spring Break March 30-April 3.
School will resume on Monday April 6.

Upcoming: The Book Fair will begin on April 6th and there will be half day early dismissals for report card conferences on April 9 and 10.
