Ras Mulugeta Yegazzu was a diplomat, a nobleman, statesman, and a patriot. Born in the Empire of Abyssinia in the mid19th century, he was a veteran of the Battle of Adowa. Then he was a young man and new to military command. In the years following, he served under Emperor Menelik II and his sucessor, Haile Selasse I. He served as a governor, foreign minister, and when Italy invaded a second time, as a military commander with his own personal army of over 80,000 men. He met his final day at the battle of Amba Aradam, where after losing his son and many of his men, he charged into plane and tank fire, ending his life the way he lived it, fearlessly

In January of 1492, the Moorish presence in the Iberian Peninsula took its last breath with the fall of Granada. Muhammad XII, also know as Boabdil, held on to the city as long as his army could stand. Eventually they succumbed to hunger and despiration, and Boabdil surrendured the keys to King Ferdinand of Aragon, and an era ended. After 781 years, Moorish rule ended, and the world would never be same.

King Gbduwe was a famous ruler of the Azande people. He led his warriors in their multitudes against the enslavement of his people and the colonization of thier land. In 1905, Britain sent a force of 100 men to arrest him for his attacks on their colonies. Rather than surrender, he chose to fight them, killing many of his captors before he was eventually overwhelmed and taken in to custody, where he passed away.
