Our 1st-7th grade students engaged in a morning of service during this last week of school. We assembled 384 breakfast bags for homebound seniors and the homeless. Thank you to our school families for generously donating breakfast items for this project. Such community engagement not only fosters empathy in our students but also highlights the importance of giving back.

Literacy is a cornerstone of learning at our school, and our students recently had the exciting opportunity to connect with a celebrated children's author during a special virtual visit with Dan Gutman!

Mr. Gutman shared stories from his early life, spoke honestly about the many rejections he faced before becoming a published author, and explained the dedication and perseverance required to be a writer. Students also learned about the book-writing process, from developing ideas to seeing a finished book on the shelf.

As a special treat, he read a chapter from the newest book in his Weird School series, which is set to be published in October 2026! The visit concluded with a lively Q&A session, where our students had the opportunity to ask thoughtful questions and learn even more about the life of an author.

Experiences like this help foster a love of reading and writing while reinforcing the importance of literacy in our students' academic and personal growth.

Thank you, Dan Gutman, for inspiring our young readers and writers!

Congratulations to the St. Jerome School Class of 2026! πŸ¦πŸŽ“

Yesterday, our graduates gathered with their families, teachers, and parish community for the 8th Grade Graduation Liturgy and Awards Ceremony. During the beautiful Mass, Fr. Izzo reminded our students to always remain close to God and their Catholic faith as they begin this exciting new chapter in their lives.

Following the Liturgy, we celebrated the many accomplishments of our graduates during the awards ceremony, recognizing their hard work, dedication, leadership, and achievements throughout their years at St. Jerome School.

While we will miss seeing these students in our halls, we are filled with pride as they move forward to high school, carrying with them the values and faith that have shaped them during their time as Lions.

Congratulations, Class of 2026! May God continue to guide and bless you on your journey. We are proud of all you have accomplished and wish you every success in the years ahead.
