Cut Off Studios was founded in 2014 by Nick Hunter and Matthew Zager. The two met at Roberts Wesleyan College, as members of the all-male a ca****la group, Vocal Infusion. After college, Matt and Nick, along with other Roberts a ca****la alumni, founded the post collegiate group, Cut Off. After recording an EP with Liquid 5th Productions, Nick became interested in the production side of a ca****la music and started working on his own recording projects. The two began collaborating on projects together and also used Cut Off to get experience recording. The first project was with the Central Connecticut State University AcaBellas, a client that Matt had met while teaching a master class at the Boston Sings A ca****la Festival. The trip also allowed Nick to have one of his first experiences running live sound at an a ca****la concert in Connecticut. In the winter of 2015, Matt and Nick brought on friend a collegue, Mickey Hamilton to help out with arranging and producing. Colleen Hunter was also brought on board to help with editing and producing and Jennifer Juncosa was brought on to help with marketing and social media. Entering 2016, the studio continued to expanding, with the addition of arrangers Allison Eberhardt and Shannon O'Leary. Cut Off Studios looks to continue to meet and work with more groups and is excited to announce plans to create a new vocal group that will record and perform exciting new a ca****la music!
