WE’RE BACK! 🐾

The halls are full, the classrooms are busy, and our Panthers are officially back for the 2026–2027 school year!

We had a wonderful first week welcoming students back to campus.

🐾Welcome back, PSD staff!🐾

Today we're excited to welcome our amazing staff back to campus as we get ready for another great school year!

We kicked off the new school year with teamwork, creativity, and a little friendly competition! Staff worked in groups across 15 tables, with each team challenged to build the tallest tree 🌳 using a variety of simple materials.

The activity was a fun way to highlight the different strengths and skills each person brings to a team and, of course, one team earned bragging rights for building the tallest tree!

A great reminder that when we bring our individual strengths together, we can build something pretty amazing.

We're so glad to have you back! 🐾

We're proud to spotlight PSD staff members Daniel Brucker and Roberto Cabrera, who were recently invited to serve as panelists at the 2026 Leadership Exchange in Arts and Disability (LEAD) Conference in Philadelphia!

Daniel (far left in blue shirt) and Roberto (far right in brown shirt) joined members of Philadelphia's Deaf and hard of hearing community for "Creating Belonging: Accessibility Stories from Philadelphia's Deaf & Hard-of-Hearing Signers." The session explored accessibility in the arts and cultural spaces, outreach opportunities, and ways organizations can better engage Deaf and hard-of-hearing audiences.

Congratulations to Daniel and Roberto on sharing their experiences and perspectives and representing at this year's LEAD Conference!

Experiment. Create. Test. Repeat!

PSD's STEAM Camp brought Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math to life! Students put their ideas into action through hands-on projects, from creating algae yarn to designing and testing PVC slingshots. It was a week filled with creativity, problem-solving, experimentation, and hands-on learning at its best!
