π On April 29th, SJU Hosted a Community Celebration of Our Neighborhood Bell titled βStories Tolledβ designed by Abigail Reeth.
πΊπΈ Saint Josephβs University has partnered with America250 on Bells Across Pennsylvania, which is a statewide program to bring artistic Liberty Bell replicas to all of our 67 counties in Pennsylvania.
πOur bell resides in our community in the Wynnefield neighborhood of West Philadelphia, in front of SJUβs Lannon Hall on the corner of 54th St. & City Ave.
πOur bell is titled βStories Tolledβ by the artist Abigail Reeth. Reeth designed the bell with Saint Josephβs University, Gompers Elementary School , and members of the Wynnefield community in mind.
πAnniversaries are important. They give us the opportunity to pause, reflect, and investigate our past, present, and future. Reflecting on shared experiences, help us to form identity and better understand people, society, in the world we live in. Our bell reflects our stories β our Stories Tolled.
