Bicycle Coalition Youth Cycling

We’re hosting a career fair for high school students — open to anyone who wants to come through, learn, and connect.

You’ll get a chance to talk to people about different career paths, ask questions, and see what opportunities are out there.

We’ll also have free food vouchers available, but space is limited.

🌟 We’re excited to begin another year with the Youth Advisory Council (YAC), a group of eight youth leaders taking an active leadership role in the Bicycle Coalition Youth Cycling (BCYC) program not just as participants, but as thoughtful partners, decision-makers, and influencers amongst their peers. 🚲 💪

The YAC’s main project for the spring season centers on putting together a Youth Career Day but they've also been learning about mobility advocacy and maybe even starting a band?

The Fall Season is officially underway! 🚴‍♀️🍂

We’ve kicked off another exciting season at WB Saul, Pickett, Boys’ Latin, Kensington High School, and Multicultural Academy Charter School. 🙌

Week one was full of energy and success stories — at Saul, several riders learned how to ride for the very first time! 🎉 They’re already building confidence, having fun, and getting ready to hit the trails. 🌲🔥

This weekend,the MTB crew will be racing at Belmont. 🏁 Swing by, cheer them on, and catch the action!

You for showed up for Philly youth – and not just with your bikes. Together, we raised $11,500 for the BCYC scholarship fund! But that's not all – our matching donor is going to meet this amount, dollar for dollar – that means $23,000 invested in the next generation of Philly's community leaders and cyclists! 🎓🏙️

Do you like to test yourself? 🚵🏽‍♀️ 🏆 One of four unique course options, this route is a metric century and then some as you journey along the Schuylkill River Trail through Valley Forge for this rewarding ride. With timed segments and two aid stations, if you're ready to saddle up and hustle, this is your ride. Your $65 registration fee for this course goes right into our youth cycling collegiate scholarship fund 🎓

We're heading back to Sedgley this Sunday for some more spring-into-Fall cleaning. If you are willing and able, please join us 10am - 1 pm to help Habib, our Youth Cycling Manager, organize Sedgley PorterHouse for the BCYC Fall Season and upcoming benefit ride, Roll Wit It. It would involve some light lifting and cleaning up of the space. We'll spin some tunes, eat some snacks and get some things squared away
