Resource: webinar about biking safely with young children

This one-hour webinar will discuss strategies for biking safely with babies, toddlers, + young children.

Presenters will include Dr. Dustyn Roberts (UPenn) and Dr. Ben Earle (local pediatrician). We will also hear from local parents who bike with their kids around the city. The event will conclude with 20 minutes of Q+A.

Please join us tonight, June 16th, 2026 from 6:30 to 7:30 pm EST (Philadelphia time) for our exciting June Luminary Session, "Supporting Young Children’s Emergent Writing through Peer Coaching" presented by Vera J. Lee, Ed.D., Drexel University and Robin Meadows-Fuller, Kinder Academy Castor.

The virtual session will explore the coaching model behind Kid Writing, an early writing approach used with 4- and 5-year-olds across five Philadelphia preschool centers.

A note for PA educators: This session is not PQAS certified, but we can provide professional development certificates for those who attend live upon request.

ECE Educator Survey!

You are invited to participate in a survey research study examining the experiences and perspectives of early childhood educators working on Individualized Education Program (IEP) teams of young children with disabilities in Pennsylvania. This survey is being conducted by Dr. Ashlee M. Brown of West Chester University in partnership with the Early Learning Resource Center (ELRC) in your county.

If you are an early childhood education teacher or program director serving young, pre-school aged children with disabilities, you may be eligible to participate. The survey is completely anonymous, voluntary and will take approximately 10 minutes to complete.

Your responses will assist the researcher in better understanding the perceptions and experiences of early childhood educators on the Individualized Education Program (IEP) teams of young children with disabilities.
