The VMP is dedicated to providing scientifically accurate information and resources of interest to science educators. Opinions expressed represent the thoughts of individual commenters and not those of the VMP. The VMP reserves the right to delete comments that are:

The Vaccine Maker’s Project started as a Medical History Pictures, Inc. initiative to promote the scientific understanding and knowledge of vaccines. The project launched with a feature-length documentary, "HILLEMAN: A Perilous Quest to Save the World's Children." The movie tells the story of Dr. Maurice Hilleman, a scientist who developed dozens of vaccines that save millions of lives annually and have helped to eradicate common childhood diseases. The Vaccine Makers Project provides materials to support the film's educational role to give elementary, middle, and high school students a deeper understanding and appreciation of the immune system and vaccine science.
