OMS Family, Daeqwon Plowden has officially confirmed his spot in NBA Summer League with the New Orleans Pelicans next week in Las Vegas!

The 6’6” Swingman from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania had a historic career at Bowling Green State in Ohio from 2017-2022. A 3 time All-MAC selection that is in virtually every Top 10 in school history, is getting his chance to prove himself at the NBA level with the Pelicans Summer League team.

Daeqwon worked out for New Orleans along with the Washington Wizards and the Utah Jazz during the NBA Pre-Draft process. Congrats Dae! Let’s get it!

⭐️ Enrollment is OPEN for PCR Summer Learn-to-Row Camps! ⭐️

It's that time of year again! PCR is excited to announce we are welcoming new student-athletes to our Summer Learn-to-Row Camps! Camp enrollment is officially OPEN now through Friday, May 27th! Students in this program will participate in a 3-week long rowing camp where they will learn basic rowing technique and receive a general introduction to fitness, nutrition, and the sport of rowing. Summer Camps are open to anyone in grades 7 through 12 who attends a Philadelphia public or charter school. All camps run Monday through Friday from 9 am to 12:30 pm. A camp t-shirt, daily snacks, and SEPTA cards will be provided to all participating students.

All camps are COMPLETELY FREE, but students must enroll by May 27th.

Dates for PCR's summer learn-to-row include:
Session 1: July 11th to 29th
Session 2: August 1st to August 19th

PLEASE NOTE: Space in our summer camps is limited and priority will be given to students who have not previously participated in a PCR program. If you're a current middle school parent/athlete, please contact [email protected] about additional camp dates for returning athletes.

She is a talented basketball player and team captain; she is a successful student; she is involved in the Athletics Advisory Committee and the Student Athletics Council; she is a member of our Black Student Union and a valued student worker; she regularly volunteers her time to support our campus community. T also is STRONG and RESILIENT. She has faced many obstacles during her time as a student, but she keeps going. We all are so proud to see her walk across the stage today.”
