Here is the full article from "The Inquirer" on the school board meeting from 3/10/26. I would like to shout out and recognize the following parents for their continuous effort to share their voices. Shaakira Jones and sweet Harlem, who have BOTH attended EVERY meeting but have yet to testify π. Vanessa Coleman and Darlene Abner who were both on the "waitlist" but were cut off due to "time constraints", Clarice Brooks and Lesly Cottrell - Riley, whose letter was submitted several times but the system never let her "complete the process".
Please read her beautiful words about our school

βYou can vote noβ: From a first grader to public officials, dozens tell Phillyβs school board to reject 18 planned school closings βUntil you show a real response to these concerns, I will stand with my community and I will fight these closures with everything that I have,β City Councilmember Jamie Gauthier told the school board.

Shout out to Miss Martin. She was number 11 on the regular list to speak out and we heard your voice loud and clear. Even though they wanted to cut you off at the end, we still know your words are valued and have power. πππͺπΎπͺπΏπͺπΌπͺπ½

So very proud of Layla Hernandez (third grade) and Helen Lambrakos (fourth grade) for testifying at the school board meeting Thursday night. Not only did they speak up for their school but they voiced their opinions and concerns that will affect Ludlow in front of a few HUNDRED adults and spectators. Also want to add that Deilyhanix Vazquez (eighth grade) was scheduled to testify online but was unfortunately cut off along with 26 other students from other schools due to time constraints.I am honored that I can call all three of them my students and beautiful examples of outstanding humans from Ludlow school πππͺπΎπͺπ½πͺπΌπͺπΏ
