For our undergrad Philosophy students: Please consider submitting an essay to the ROSS PRIZE or the FLOWER PRIZE in philosophy. These annual prizes are awarded at graduation. The ROSS Prize is for an essay in the history of philosophy, while the Flower Prize may be awarded to an essay on any topic in Philosophy. Submissions must be the original work of an undergraduate student at the University of Pennsylvania, up to 25 pages in length (double-spaced). A submission may be a paper submitted for a course at Penn.
Instructions for submission:
· Send your submission as a PDF attachment to an email sent to the Undergraduate Chair in Philosophy, Susan Meyer.
· The Subject line of the email must include ‘ROSS PRIZE’ or ‘FLOWER PRIZE’.
· Submissions must be anonymous: that is, the PDF should not include your name, or any other identifying information.
· Submissions are due by 11:59 pm on Monday 27 March 2017.
