Cincinnati Bengals: Not only did Williams perform on the big stage, he had spoken the 53 into existence into a microphone years before as a senior at Springside Chestnut Hill Academy.

"Every day senior year, a couple of seniors would have to give a speech to the school," Williams says. "I think about it every day. It's kind of like my motto. Just getting ready for every moment and opportunity. You might not get many, but when you do, you perform."

The Devil-Dragon (SCH and Drexel University) Balloon team has been working for over a year to get this High-Altitude Student Platform (HASP) experiment ready, and now it’s in the stratosphere!

Our newest Upper School students took their first steps into this exciting chapter by connecting with their advisory groups, meeting their class dean, and learning the ins and outs of their daily schedules. They also heard from our Upper School counseling team about the academic and well-being support available to them throughout high school. One step closer to the first day of school! 🏫 🎉

ICYMI: The Philadelphia Business Journal featured SCH's campus renovations and improvements for the upcoming school year!

"Springside Chestnut Hill Academy has been busy making campus improvements at its Chestnut Hill campus on West Springfield Avenue.

The centerpiece of the school’s 10-year campus master plan — dubbed “Restore the Rec” — was a major capital project completed for the 2025-2026 school year. It included the adaptive reuse and structural overhaul of the Rec, a 140-year- old historic landmark.

Springside Chestnut Hill Academy has also been working to transform its Commons Quad, an underutilized paved section of campus, into a central green space and student hub. The Commons Quad project marks the final phase of the school’s master plan."

A furry friend is joining the SCH community this year!👋 Head of School Dr. Druggan and his wife, Pia, welcomed 🐾 Duchess 🐾 to their family this summer. While she’s already made some friends with our fall athletes, we know she’ll be a big hit on campus this year, bringing lots of love to students and faculty. 💙💛
