Please join us in congratulating the 2023 cohort of Computer Support Specialist Apprentices. Last week we celebrated the end of another successful program year! 🎉

We are so proud of all of their accomplishments and grateful for their service to The School District of Philadelphia schools and offices.

In honor of Public School Volunteer Week, the Urban Technology Project (UTP) wants to recognize our AmeriCorps Digital Service Fellows who serve at 16 School District of Philadelphia schools mentoring students in Digital Literacy. UTP is the school district’s I.T. Apprenticeship program.

Jaheim Johnson, pictured below, serves at NE Propel Academy and leads a tech club for students!

Jalen Corley was with UTP from 2010-2013 as an I.T. Apprentice. Now, a Senior Security Architect at Comcast, Jalen says "UTP allowed me to gain real-world technical skills and provided me a platform to gain industry recognized certifications"

Angela Chapple was with UTP from 2002-2009 as an I.T. Apprentice. Now, a Senior Systems Engineer of Cybersecurity for Geico, Angela says "UTP gave me a second chance to pursue and achieve my career goals. UTP is the gift that keeps on giving!"
