It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved co-founder, teacher, mentor, and friend, who left us today at the age of 85.
In 1966, he opened the doors of this Tae Kwon Do studio and began a journey that would touch countless lives over the next six decades. As an 7th Degree Black Belt, he dedicated himself not only to mastering the art of Tae Kwon Do but to sharing it with others. There were few things he loved more than teaching, and anyone who trained under him knows the passion, patience, discipline, and encouragement he brought to every class.
Through the years, he taught generations of students—children who grew into adults, families who trained together, and countless individuals who carried his lessons far beyond the walls of the dojang. His impact was measured not just in belts earned, but in the confidence, respect, perseverance, and character he helped build in so many people.
To his former and current students, we know many of you have your own memories and stories of the time you spent with him. We invite you to share them here as we celebrate a life devoted to teaching, learning, and helping others become their best selves.
Thank you, Grandmaster, for your wisdom, your dedication, and the legacy you leave behind. Your lessons will continue to live on in every student whose life you touched.
