100% of our 18–25-year-olds are OSHA 30 and NFPA 70E certified before we ever go hands-on. Safety first, always.

This week’s framing work took place inside one of our partner sites, a powerful space for growth, purpose, and transformation. All glory to God. His timing is perfect. 🙏🏾

2025 Dēz Kids Construction Education Program - Summer Edition- graduates are making their way forward with at least OSHA 10 in Construction Safety certifications.

Safety first always At Dēz Kids Construction. We make sure our crew has the right OSHA certifications before stepping on site:

OSHA- Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

OSHA 10-Hour – 10 hour training for our workers to learn the basics training and stay safe on the job.
OSHA 30-Hour – 30 hour training for our leads who carry the responsibility of keeping the whole team protected & be able to do more advanced work on the work site

At the end of the day, construction isn’t just about building structures, it’s about building a safe environment for our people. 🦺🏗️

Our very first Fall Cohort of 2025 is officially certified and ready for work! 🎓💪🏽

💥 100% of our graduates earned their OSHA 30 Construction Safety and NFPA 70E Electrical Safety in the Workplace certifications.

We’re so thankful for the Philadelphia Energy Authority (PEA) and One Day At A Time (ODAAT) for believing in our mission and vision. Partnerships like these help us expand opportunities, strengthen communities, and create lasting impact.

To God be the glory for what He continues to do through this work. 🙏🏽

Honored. Grateful. Motivated.

Thursday night I had the privilege of cohosting the Anti-Violence Community Partnership Gala, where the Dēz Kids Construction Education Program was recognized by the Office of Public Safety, City of Philadelphia with the Light Against Violence Award for our work in the fight against violence and our dedication to building safe, thriving communities.

This honor belongs to our partners One Day At A Time (ODAAT) and the Philadelphia Energy Authority (PEA), and to every young person who shows up ready to learn, build, and lead.

It was my first time hosting a ball at this level, and it was truly an honor. Shout out to my cohosts Danni, Jen, and Tony for the trust, teamwork, and good energy, and to our leader Nicole Kenney for guiding us with grace, patience, and excellence while allowing each of us to shine.

We believe construction is more than a trade. It is a tool for transformation. Thank you to the City and the Anti-Violence Community Partnership Grants team for seeing and supporting this vision. Glory be to our God who does all things well.

We will keep building. And yes, the dance floor was on fire- cardio poppin’ all night. 🏗️🔥
