What a beautiful day at the City of Philadelphia Public Safety Resource Fair! 🙌🏾❤️

Dēz Kids was in the building connecting with families, young people, City agencies, community organizations, and fellow leaders doing great work across Philadelphia.

One of the best parts of the day was watching AJ and Marissa represent Dēz Kids for themselves. They talked with parents, spoke with young people, passed out information about the program, and even connected with members of the Philadelphia Office of Public Safety grants team.

That is growth.

We want our young people learning construction, but we also want them learning how to communicate, build relationships, represent themselves professionally, and walk confidently into new opportunities.

It was also a blessing hearing the positive things the grants team continues to hear about our program. We are grateful for the investment Philadelphia Office of Public Safety continues to make in community organizations doing real work with Philadelphia youth.

We also had the pleasure of connecting with Brenda Mosley and By Faith, Health and Healing, Inc., along with so many other great organizations throughout the city.

To organizations, schools, employers, funders, and community partners looking to invest in young people and build something meaningful together, we would love to connect.

Thank You, Lord, for continuing to put Dēz Kids in the right rooms. 🙏🏾

What they are learning goes far beyond making a cut.

They are learning to stay alert, protect one another, pay attention to detail, communicate clearly, and work as a team. These are the same skills that support safety, wise decision making, self control, and the practice of anti violence in everyday life.

The project is visible. The growth taking place within them is the greater work.

We praise God for every lesson, every correction, and every opportunity to help young people become more aware, responsible, and prepared.

You can’t teach construction without materials. You can’t build futures without partners. 🔨❤️ The Home Depot

Today, our young people got to work using concrete and other donated materials from The Home Depot in King of Prussia.

I want to give a special thank you to Store Manager Keyanna, who has been a faithful supporter of Dēz Kids Construction Education Program for quite some time now. Her belief in our mission has helped create hands on learning experiences that our youth will remember for years to come.

Every bag of concrete, every tool, and every donated material represents another opportunity for a young person to learn a trade, gain confidence, and discover what’s possible.

Thank you, Home Depot King of Prussia, for investing in our youth and helping us build more than projects. Together, we’re building futures.

100% of our 18–25-year-olds are OSHA 30 and NFPA 70E certified before we ever go hands-on. Safety first, always.

This week’s framing work took place inside one of our partner sites, a powerful space for growth, purpose, and transformation. All glory to God. His timing is perfect. 🙏🏾

Dēz Kids, as in THESE kids right here, can continue to use what they've learned during this program to better their communities!

2025 Dēz Kids Construction Education Program - Summer Edition- graduates are making their way forward with at least OSHA 10 in Construction Safety certifications.

Thank you to all the students willing to give their time to lear n and build upon trade skills and .odaat for giving them a space to work in.

Safety first always At Dēz Kids Construction. We make sure our crew has the right OSHA certifications before stepping on site:

OSHA- Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

OSHA 10-Hour – 10 hour training for our workers to learn the basics training and stay safe on the job.
OSHA 30-Hour – 30 hour training for our leads who carry the responsibility of keeping the whole team protected & be able to do more advanced work on the work site

At the end of the day, construction isn’t just about building structures, it’s about building a safe environment for our people. 🦺🏗️
