Mr. Tony Braithwaite ‘89 and Mrs. Jenny Mars, (formerly the Prep Main Office) and Cape and Sword alum Mike Donovan ‘99 traveled to Ford’s Theatre in Washington DC to see fellow Cape and Sword alum Joe Mallon ‘99 in the musical Come From Away. (Braithwaite, Mars, and Donovan all work at Act II Playhouse in Ambler where Mallon will appear in the spring.)

Following the announcement of The Shawshank Redemption as our winter play, the Cape and Sword Drama Society is also thrilled to announce that the spring production will be The Play that Goes Wrong.

This is an utterly hilarious comedy, packed with nonstop laughs, outrageous mishaps, and unforgettable characters, alongside a huge multi-functioning set.

Audition will be sometime in late February, with performances in May.

Congratulations to newly ordained Jesuit Father Jake Braithwaite SJ ‘07. Here is a picture from ordination where former Prep president Father George Bur SJ ‘59 blesses newly ordained Father Braithwaite as two former Prep principals stand in line – Father Tom Clifford, SJ and Father Tom Roach SJ.

Father Jake Braithwaite has begun work at St. Ignatius Parish adjacent to Boston College.
