Andre studied guitar as his principal instrument at the Eastman School of Music and brings years of teaching experience across classical, flamenco, jazz, pop, rock, country, metal, and more.

What stood out to us most throughout the process was Andre’s passion for teaching, adaptability, and student-first approach. His philosophy fits right in with what we believe at Guitar Your Way: **start with the student—their goals, their music, and where they want to go—and build from there.**

Andre is currently based in Brazil and teaches students online from around the world from his professional studio setup.

🎸 Thank you to everyone who joined today's Elevate Workshop!

We had a great time diving into one of the most important concepts in improvisation: **Chord Tones**.

In today's workshop, we explored:
✅ What chord tones are and why they matter
✅ The role of the Root, 3rd, 5th, and 7th
✅ Why some notes sound more resolved than others
✅ How chord tones connect your solos to the chords underneath
✅ How triads can help you quickly identify strong target notes while improvising

One of the biggest takeaways from today's session was this:

**Scales tell us what notes are available. Chord tones tell us which notes matter right now.**

The full workshop recording is now available on the website for all active Elevate Guitar Academy members. Whether you'd like to review the material, revisit key concepts, or catch up because you couldn't attend live, you can access the recording anytime.

This past weekend’s Triad Discovery group class was SUCH a good time. 🙌

One of our favorite parts about these classes is watching things start to click for people in real time, seeing players realize the fretboard isn’t as confusing as they thought, and hearing how much more connected everything feels afterward.

These classes are interactive, practical, and built around helping you actually understand the guitar… not just memorize shapes.

And the best part? YOU have a say in what we cover next.

As long as at least 2 people want a topic, we’ll teach the class. Whether it’s triads, improvisation, chord building, fretboard memorization, rhythm, theory, technique, or anything else, we can make it happen.
