The Andrew Jackson Music Program was started by Chris Argerakis in September, 2008. Singing and rhythm are the focus in the early years (K-4).
Since that time we have received nearly $25,000 worth of musical equipment/materials from Donors Choose, Hoshino (Tama Drums & Ibanez Guitars), and Little Kids Rock! Our students begin with a foundation using elements of Orff and Kodaly methodologies in the early years. Students begin playing recorders in 3rd grade, and guitar in 4th.
