Fanny Jackson Coppin Music Program

Fanny Jackson Coppin Music Program The Andrew Jackson Music Program was started by Chris Argerakis in September, 2008. Singing and rhythm are the focus in the early years (K-4).

Since that time we have received nearly $25,000 worth of musical equipment/materials from Donors Choose, Hoshino (Tama Drums & Ibanez Guitars), and Little Kids Rock! Our students begin with a foundation using elements of Orff and Kodaly methodologies in the early years. Students begin playing recorders in 3rd grade, and guitar in 4th. Students also receive instruction on the drum set, bass guitar, and we will soon establish a piano/keyboard curriculum. The culmination of our curriculum is highlighted through our two primary ensembles, the Andrew Jackson Senior and Junior Rock Bands.

Wrapping up our 16th year of HOME❤️. Some fun gigs, a great event with Eric Bazilian, a really strong book of songs,...all in all another productive year for us. Saying goodbye to four really integral members, but the core remains in tact, and some talented apprentices ready to step up. Hoping that the 2026-27 academic year will be a successful one for us.

Thanks to everyone who has supported us. If you bought a shirt, transported our gear, fixed a guitar, or just tapped on the window and gave us the thumbs up while we rehearsed...we appreciate it.

F***y Coppin's Spring Vocal Concert(s) are Wednesday and Thursday in the Coppin Gym.

Please join us to hear our 1st through 5th graders sing songs from Annie, Pinocchio, Bugsy Malone, Matilda, West Side Story, The Sound of Music, The Beatles, The Muppet Movie, The Nightmare Before Christmas and many more!
