We are so proud of Amel Kherbachene, ESL graduate of Center for Literacy. She is co-founder of a new center for French-speaking newcomers in Philadelphia. Just say oui. A new Philly center aims to connect French speakers from different continents It’s the creation of four francophones from Africa, Europe and the Caribbean, who want to cut across national lines and connect immigrants based on language.

This just in! Reported in March Newsletter by Regina DeRosa, program coordinator, Francis Scott Key elementary school, located in South Philly: "Mary Wilson and Deicy Perez from Center for Literacy distributed bags of books and materials to Key families enrolled in CFL's Virtual Family Literacy Program, which offers free classes to immigrant families. They enjoyed getting to safely meet everyone in-person." Way to go Mary and Deicy!
