Congratulations to our March Reps of the Month, Katie & Maeve!

Although she is one of our newer members, Katie jumped right in to take on multiple initiatives in a variety of areas. She has been expanded her interests and responsibilities to ensure that USGA and her work specifically has a direct impact on student needs, such as Mental Health and affordable Drexel Merchandise!

Ever since she joined USGA, Maeve has shown an incredible passion for student and community engagement. She is dependable, dedicated, and always ready to step up to the plate for any initiative. Since being in the Civic Engagement Committee, Maeve has exhibited a strong commitment to increasing campus safety, engaging with community partners and neighbors, and boosting voter engagement on campus. We are so excited to see what she will do next, and can’t be more grateful for her work thus far on the board!

This past Thursday USGA and The Sanitation Health Aid Relief Project (SHARP) hosted an event to pack hygiene kits for unhoused Philadelphians. We were able to pack over 300 kits, and heard from Astha Raman, DrPH and assistant scientist from Johns Hopkins University, who spoke about women’s health and period poverty.
