One week to go before the 2013 Study Tour to Barcelona, Spain! Hope those going are getting their bags packed and ready for the exciting trip!
Happy New Year and welcome back MIM students! Hope you had a great and relaxing break and are ready to finish out the year.
Just a reminder that those of you who are going to Barcelona, Spain should submit your application packet to CIP by 12pm on Wednesday January 16th.

The Fira de Barcelona, the city's largest trade fair complex, is located next to the hill at Montjuïc. Monumental buildings, the heritage of the 1929 World Exhibition and the 1992 Olympics, as well as museums and gardens surround some 250,000 square meters of exhibition space. Halls and pavilions, with different capacities, host the most varied events.

La Rambla
Barcelona's famous promenade
The Rambla, it is often the plural "Las Ramblas", is one of the landmarks of Barcelona, which makes this metropolis so unique. The approximately 1.3 km long road - in the middle a pedestrian zone - is ranging from Plaça Catalunya, probably the central transport hub in Barcelona to the port. The conclusion is the highly visible monument of Columbus. Thereafter, the Rambla del Mar is an extension of the historic Ramblas to the Maremagnum, a shopping centre in the harbour.

In Barcelona, Spain, Casa Milà, commonly known as La Pedrera is the largest civil building designed by Antoni Gaudí. The apartment block was constructed between 1906 and 1910. It is constructed entirely in natural stones, and lacking all the colors and ornamentation design.
