Tomorrow’s volunteer day is CANCELLED due to rain/ potential thunderstorms!!!

We have two volunteer opportunities next week though! We have our Orchard Workday next Wednesday, May 13th with the Philadelphia Orchard Project (POP) from 3-5pm and a fun volunteer day planned alongside Philly City Repair Project on Sunday, May 17th from 10am-2pm.

Hello beautiful people 🌱🌿☀️ We got a lot to offer this month ... hope to see you at the farm for some work! Some play! Some being together, organizing & sharing food!

This weekend please join us for our monthly volunteer work day Saturday 10am-2pm! Bring your friends ! Bring your family! There will be food and water provided 💗 THIS SUNDAY✨🪾💕 1pm- 3:30pm we want to celebrate all the mothering folk in our community ! We see you! We appreciate you! Bring a mother you love to the farm for a paint & sip party...all funds raised from tickets will go towards sustaining the farm!!

Next week we will be hosting our monthly Friday night Communitea Get Together from 4pm-7pm ☀️🍀 We will be painting signs for the farm and brewing some springtime tonics💯 That Sunday from 10am-2pm we will be building herb spirals with as a part of their village building annual volunteer festival... Come out if you are down to help sculpt with bricks 🧱❤️‍🔥🌞

We will also be starting back up our monthly collaborative 19133 pay what you wish farmers market with and ❤️🫛👁️🌶️ on every last Friday of growing season starting May 29th 10am - 12 pm at Historic Fairhill.

✨✨Some thing new✨✨ We gonna work out at the farm this year with ...Mark your calendars for our first Farm Fit Saturday May 30th from 10am-12pm.

Hope everyone having a good start to the week, and been enjoyin the weather! This Friday, we will be having our first “COMMUNI-TEA” event of the season and we’re excited about it!

We wanted another reason to be able to hang out with our neighbors and loved ones at the farm, and thought why not do it over some crafting and sharing some tea. So if this is something you’d be interested in, please join us this Friday. All you gotta bring is ya self and good energy💚💚💚

Life Do Grow Farm

Happy first day of Spring everyone!!!

Last week we had our first volunteer day of the 2026 season-and yall really killed it. We cleaned up our block, cut back old growth to make room for new flowers, and planted ginger and turmeric in our greenhouse! We’re so excited for everything coming our way this season, and we couldn’t do it without all the support and love we get from our volunteers ✨

If you missed this one, no worries- you can come out next Wednesday (3/25) from 12-3pm!

☀️ Looking for something to do tomorrow ? Please join us for our first Volunteer Day of the season, tomorrow Saturday March 14th from 10 am-2pm !!☀️

🫚We will be picking up trash around the perimeter of the farm and then will plant turmeric and ginger in the greenhouse!!🫚

Ya win some, ya lose some. This winter has been hard for everyone, our bees included.

In the first video you can see Farmer Isa opening the hives to find a “dead out” which is when an entire hive dies. This isn’t uncommon in the winter, it could be from disease, excess cold, lack of food, mold etc. the second picture shows the bees dead at the bottom of the box.

The last video shows Farmer Isa getting ready to feed granulated sugar to a hive that did survive. Granulated sugar can help supplement the bees diet as they wait for the first blooms of the season, which we think are right around the corner.

So far 4/5 of our hives have made it until this point, keep them in your thoughts!

OUR BEEKEEPING APPRENTICES ARE “GRADUATING”!

THIS Sunday, November 23, to celebrate our first ever Beekeeping Apprentices.. so come out!!!
It’ll be a celebration of life, a tea party and potluck all in one. To top it off, our Apprentices will be leading hive tours (weather permitting) for all of those who’ve wanted to come see the bees up close and personal.

We are so grateful that we get to do this. This apprenticeship was created in honor of our late Beekeeper and beloved friend Nala Bloom, who reintroduced honeybees to Life Do Grow Farm in 2022.

Gone, but never forgotten.
