“Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children, play is serious learning.”

“Play is the work of childhood—
the way children make sense of the world.”

—Mister Rogers ❤️

Mister Rogers changed children’s television history by proving that young audiences deserved calm, respectful, emotionally honest programming. He centered shows on feelings, kindness, real conversations, and child development, setting a new standard for educational television that influenced generations of programs worldwide.

There’s snow doubt about it—our LGA friends are one in a million! ❄️

Today, they listened to the story Millions of Snowflakes by Mary McKenna Siddell, counted the snowflakes and cut their own snowflakes all by themselves—each one unique, just like them.❤️

In honor of National Rubber Ducky Day—and inspired by Ernie and the kind neighbors of Sesame Street—we made rubber ducks for a thank-you card to celebrate a neighbor spreading good throughout our community as part of our program.

We’re feeling extra duck-y celebrating neighbors who make our community a better place! 💛
