There are a couple more empty spots. Make sure to signup at the IEEE store if you are interested in going.
Dear Future Engineers,
Welcome back to a fresh new semester.I hope you had a fruitful winter break if not a fun one.
Last weekthe IEEE society had an officer meeting where we discussed upcoming events for this semester.
Through our Discussion we came up with the following events for the Spring semester:
1. There will be a brown bag event this semester! Make sure you check your emails for an update.
2.Philadelphia section has organized an Employment Networking event for this coming Thursday January 31. It is basically a networking event with a short presentation about job related topics. Many students find employment opportunities through these networking events in such If you want to go please register at IEEE Philadelphia Website:
https://meetings.vtools.ieee.org/meeting_view/list_meeting/22455
If you want to go but you don't want to go alone there will be a sign up sheet posted on our door at room 704 the Engineering building. We can meetup here and leave at an appropriate time.
In case you miss it there will be another one on February 27.

3.Next weekend , IEEE Philadelphia has organized a trip to the American Helicopter Museum at West Chester. The trip will be on Feb 8 at noon. Registration Link Below:
https://meetings.vtools.ieee.org/meeting_view/list_meeting/22957
I am not going to be attended that event, but you are welcome to. The reason is a programming event! That will be ongoing from Feb7-9 called Hack4Good 0.5 Philadelphia. To go you need to register below:

If you want to walk in as a team there will be a registration sheet on our door (Engr 704). If you prefer not, you can walk in to the event as an individual and through the organizers and your networking skills, individuals who walked in as individuals like you did will be more than happy to team up with you.
4.This Saturday, the IEEE officers will be meeting at Drexel University to discuss a section wide Ski trip. The trip is expected to take place on a Saturday mid February. We will keep you updated. " Make sure to keep checking your email for this trip, it will be much cheaper to go with the IEEE than to go by yourself"
Note: Make sure to get involved with the IEEE, Many employers look for affiliations when going over resume's.
Best of luck on your semester,

Hello Everyone,
Registration for the IEEE trip to PrinceTel on Thursday, November 14 will be closing at 8:00 AM this Friday, November 8.
On the day of the trip (Thursday, November 14) we will leave Temple around 8:00 AM. We probably will not return to Temple until around 5:00 PM.
PrinceTel specializes in designing fiber-optic rotary joints and has been rated one of the top ten best companies to work for in New Jersey by NJBiz.
The trip is open to both Mechanical and Electrical engineers. Seniors looking for jobs after graduation as well as students looking for internship opportunities should consider making it a point to attend.

Hello everyone,
This coming Tuesday, November 12, the Philadelphia section of the IEEE will be hosting their annual Students' Night dinner at the University City Sheraton Hotel from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM. There is a dinner as well as a presentation given by a Drexel University faculty member. The event will be free of charge for students to attend. Parking will also be provided free of charge. The Sheraton is also easily accessible by SEPTA.
This is a great opportunity for meeting students from other schools and networking with working electrical engineering professionals. In the past, connections forged at this event have yielded both internship and job opportunities for students.
If you are interested in attending, please send me an Email (my Email is [email protected]). The Temple IEEE chapter is allowed to send a maximum of 12 people to the event.
Thanks, and please let me know if you have any questions.
I would like to welcome Everyone to a fresh new semester. I am sure all of you are aware that we have new IEEE members this semester, so get involved and stop by the IEEE store to meet them
I would like to thank everyone who joined us yesterday for the IEEE end of the semester BBQ. It was really fun, and we enjoyed everyone's accompany.
The IEEE will be holding a Brown Bag on Monday, May 6th at 4:30 PM. The event will be held in the intro to engineering lab (room 302). The brownbag will be to construct a Solar USB charger that is capable of providing power via a USB port to portable devices. There are a limited kits, so sign up at the IEEE office ASAP.
