Good evening. The 2023-2024 school year is starting on Tuesday, Sept 5th. We are excited for a new school year to start. However, due to the extreme heat, Tuesday Sept 5th and Wednesday Sept 6th will be half days of school for Harding Middle School. School hours will be from 8 am to 11:39 am for the first two days of school.

This is NOT for the whole school district. Please click on the link below for a list of schools that will operate a half day for the first two days of school.

In anticipation of next week’s weather forecast, the School District of Philadelphia is making schedule adjustments for schools without air conditioning or schools with inadequate cooling. Read more HERE.
