Jump Jive and Jam! strives to introduce children under the age of 5 to the joy of music in a safe, fun, and educational environment. Kids will have so much fun while being guided in exploring many different instruments such as different percussion, shakers, guitar and even pi
ano! Through play and multi-sensory activities (ex. parachutes and rhythm sticks) JJ&J teaches children basic rhythmic and melodic concepts, helps them to build confidence in their voices and musical abilities, and helps to foster a life-long love of music. Parents will also enjoy playing along and learning new rhythms and songs. Helping their children foster music abilities is an incredible experience to witness! Victoria "Vicki" Spaeth Nyce
Miss Vicki loves working with children and spreading the joy of music to the newest generation. She has worked with children in a variety of capacities for most of her life; as a babysitter starting at age 12, a camp counselor throughout her teens, and a nanny in her early 20's. She has also been playing music for most of her life, starting with piano lessons at 5, and has taught pre-school music for 8 years. She plays guitar, ukulele, banjo, mandolin, glockenspiel, and piano. She also teaches private guitar and ukulele lessons to all ages. When not working with children, Vicki is a singer-songwriter, and the leader of her band, Victoria Spaeth & the Spaeth Cadets, and has played stages up and down the east coast, from South Carolina to Maine. She has also been fortunate to accompany many extremely talented artists, from Folk Legend Pete Seeger to Rapper Schoolly D. Vicki and her husband own a house in Manayunk where they live with their daughter, Naomi, two cat's, Oliver and Monty, and their dog, Nina Simone.
