Dear Families,

We hope you and your family stayed safe during this week’s winter weather. Because we lost some valuable instructional time due to the weather, and with important learning milestones ahead, including preparation for the PSSA assessments, we will be making an adjustment to our February calendar to support our students.

For the month of February, Wednesdays will now be full instructional days. (This change simply moves up a schedule that was already planned to begin in March.)

In addition, Friday, February 13 will now be a full instructional day. Our staff will reschedule their Data Day meetings outside of student learning time so we can preserve as much classroom instruction as possible.

We know schedule changes can affect family routines, and we truly appreciate your flexibility and partnership. Every additional day of learning helps our students stay confident and prepared, and we are grateful for your continued support.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the school office.

Esperamos que usted y su familia se hayan mantenido seguros durante el clima invernal de esta semana. Debido al tiempo de instrucción que se perdió y considerando las metas académicas importantes que se acercan — incluyendo la preparación para los exámenes PSSA — estaremos realizando un pequeño ajuste al calendario de febrero para apoyar a nuestros estudiantes.

Durante el mes de febrero, todos los miércoles serán días completos de instrucción. (Este cambio simplemente adelanta un horario que ya estaba programado para comenzar en marzo.)

Además, el viernes 13 de febrero ahora será un día completo de clases. Nuestro personal reprogramará sus reuniones de planificación fuera del tiempo de instrucción para proteger al máximo el aprendizaje de los estudiantes.
