May was a month of graduations, and this year we celebrate six PIC teachers and an administrator for the completion of their degrees. We applaud these graduates. It takes commitment, sacrifice, and determination to earn a degree, all while working full time. We commend all of our staff members who continue to work towards their degrees and pursue credentials! It is through them that we continue the level of excellence that is the hallmark of PIC.

THIS WEEK AT PIC: Little hands made big discoveries!
We got our hands dirty potting plants, moved our bodies on riding toys and play tunnels, and stacked up the fun with blocks and writing practice. Just another week of exploring, learning, and growing together!

THIS WEEK AT PIC: we're working on motor skills. Fine motor skills involve the coordination of small muscle movements in the hands, wrists, and fingers. Think art projects, playing with sand in the sensory table, stacking wooden blocks. Gross motor skills tackle the big movements that involve the large muscle groups. Here we are running, climbing, and riding bikes. These are important moments in the growth and development of a child, where every movement is a milestone.

As a Reggio-inspired center, we are thrilled to see the Princess of Wales shining a global spotlight on the educational philosophy we live by every day! Her visit focuses on how nature, relationships, and the environment shape a child's future. We are proud to bring these same world-class principles to our community.

THIS WEEK AT PIC: we see hands-on learning up close. Whether it be playing at the sensory table, problem-solving with pegs, tinkering with a puzzle, creating art, pushing on a riding toy, or gathering leaves, children are fully immersed in their environment. It is how they explore and discover, engaging they curiosity and interests. This is how children learn best.
