TODAY AT PIC: The Butterflies preschoolers had a very exciting guest. One child's parent stopped by with a turtle. The children got to observe the turtle outside, watch it walk, and ask questions. The answers included: It will not grow any bigger and it is over 30 years old. The children were thoughtful and engaged and enjoyed this very "live" lesson in scientific inquiry.

PIC's inaugural Resource Fair last Saturday was a success—even the rain didn't slow us down! With a group of local community organizations that support children and caregivers on site, there was a steady stream of visitors finding valuable resources. Organizations were able to exchange information and PIC also gained valuable resources to share with families. There was a children's book swap encouraging literacy. We even had Representative Rick Krajewski stop by to say hello.

THIS WEEK AT PIC: We're looking at the world in new ways with our eyes wide open. We're also engaging our other senses, whether it was listening to stories, playing in the sand, or scribbling on paper. Learning through all our senses gives our little learners a multi-sensory understanding of the world all around.
