TUSP Student Society of Health-System Pharmacy

PSHP is an affiliate of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists for the state of Pennsylvania! SSHP at Temple is an ASHP recognized student society.

Established in 1970, the Pennsylvania Society of Health System Pharmacists (PSHP) is one of the largest state affiliates of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists. PSHP consists of members employed throughout the Commonwealth in a variety of practice settings, including hospitals, home care agencies, long-term care facilities, ambulatory care facilities, health maintenance organizations, clinics, psychiatric facilities, sub-acute and chronic care facilities, correctional facilities and colleges of pharmacy. Members include pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, students of pharmacy, and representatives of the pharmaceutical industry.

Pharmacy is always moving forward and expanding roles.

Our Practice Advancement Initiative Chair Julia Bonitatis has created infographics on what areas are expected to increase and recommendations in order to optimize medication use through pharmacist prescribing, expand roles of pharmacy technicians, improve patient access to pharmacist services in ambulatory care and so much more!

Duy Nguyen, PharmD, BCPS graduated from Temple University School of Pharmacy in 2016 and completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at Virtua Health in New Jersey post-graduation.

Currently, Duy works as a clinical pharmacist at LMC with internal medicine as a primary focus. In addition, he serves as the Residency Program Director for the recently created PGY1 Residency program at LMC. Having started with his role as chief pharmacy resident and now as program director, Duy has been very involved in both clinical pharmacy and administration, which allows him to practice his wellbeing and resilience skills to keep up with work demands and stay well.
