Today’s Picture Day, which was led by 📸, was extra special because one of their photographers was Akilah — a proud member of RAPCS’ very first graduating class! 🎓 Akilah began her journey here in 2001 when the school first opened and graduated in 2005.
It was great having her with us today, and as we celebrate 25 years of excellence, we look forward to continuing to connect with alumni like Akilah. 💙🐾

Born January 2, 1898, in Philadelphia, Dr. Alexander was a history-making scholar, lawyer, and civil rights leader! ✨

✅ 1921 – First African American woman in the U.S. to earn a Ph.D. (Economics, University of Pennsylvania) 🎓
✅ 1927 – First Black woman lawyer in Pennsylvania ⚖️
✅ 1946 – First Black woman appointed to the U.S. Civil Rights Commission ✊🏾

She broke barriers and dedicated her life to justice, education, and equal rights! Her legacy still inspires us today!
