I have been in child care for a total of 9.5 years. When I had my first son it made me realize how important education and quality child care is- so I decided to get involved. Turns out that I love it. I love helping people, teaching people and watching them grow into productive adults. FUN DAY IN THE CITY. I love Center City and spent most of my life working there. As a child I’ve went on school trips to The Franklin Institute , Independence Hall ,Penns Landing , City Hall and Art Museum . I’m the NUMBER ONE TOUR GUIDE from Market St. to Society Hill and Rittenhouse Square. Someone said to me yesterday.. You don’t see black kids coming down here anymore. They don’t come down here on field trips. She was a Septa woman. She came out the booth to talk to me for half a hour. Wanted to know where we were from and was really shocked that we were walking through City Hall . lol
Well they’ll be going down there all summer and learning things some grown adults don’t know.
Did you know Market St. was named that because it was the market? Race St. had races. The others were named after trees.. Chestnut, Walnut, Spruce, Pine…etc. Who knows why it was named Front St. instead of 1st? Who was John Wanaker? My kids know ALL THIS STUFF

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR GRADUATES. Today was awesome and shared with our families. Halima’s grandparents andare here from Africa and was in attendance. It was a joyous occasion as we send them off to the “ BIG KID’S “SCHOOL ready to continue to grow. Best Wishes to YOUSOUF , HALIMA and KARTER as you go off to KINDERGARTEN.
