Marie is interested in research at the intersection of health and technology, specifically looking to see how technological advancements can be leveraged to address health disparities around the world. Outside of her academic pursuits, Marie enjoys staying active through tennis and running, and finds joy in exploring new cultures and places by traveling. As the incoming VP, she is most excited about helping to create supportive spaces for Black graduate dragons to connect, share experiences, and uplift each other.

As a 3rd year PhD candidate, I am excited to deep dive into my research which focuses on the Preparation and Development of Educational Leadership and Policy for an Artificial Intelligence-driven Society. This year I look forward to growing and empowering DBGSU and Alumni networks to enhance student support and guidance for the future! S/o to my research home!

Max Vance: “I’m a PhD student focusing on electrochemical research to create renewable industrial chemical production. My hobbies are baking and music production, and I’m looking forward to building strong relationships in the Black graduate community at Drexel.“

Ruanna Small: “I‘m looking forward to helping curate spaces where Black graduate students at Drexel can connect and find support!“
