You won't want to miss the premiere of "Complications in Sue." Opera Philadelphia commissioned ten composers to write and opera, and what they came up with is absolutely amazing. It's funny, thought-provoking, sentimental, and just a really, really good piece of music. Come check it out!

Complications in Sue - Complications in Sue One librettist, one actor, four singers, and ten composers join forces to make opera in a brand-new way. In his first opera libretto, Pulitzer and Tony Award-winning playwright Michael R. Jackson (A Strange Loop) traces the life of a woman named Sue whose personality is split in two.

The Philly Pops shows this weekend are wonderful! I’m so lucky to be able to play them with this group of amazing Jewish women, too!

This has been the season of the Mendelssohn Octet for me, but luckily it’s a piece I could play over and over and still find new, clever, beautiful things. And you can’t beat getting to spend time with and perform with these amazing women. This Sunday’s rehearsal will feature quiche chez moi. We like to make it fun, and this concert will be a blast!
