The Drexel Physics Graduate Student Association, Drexel Minorities and Women in Physics, along with the graduate student body, stands with all participating in , , and . Like so many institutions of our society, academia, especially Physics, is an active contributor to systemic racism, and this must be changed. Black Lives Matter, yet white supremacy and anti-Black racism permeate our institutions, and for too long white allies have sat on the sidelines benefiting from this privilege. We call on the Drexel Physics Department and Drexel College of Arts and Sciences to commit to creating a fairer admission process. We also call on faculty and student body to reflect and examine their implicit biases. We must do more to ensure that our community is diverse and non-discriminatory.

Nominate yourself! Nominate your friends! PGSA looks good on a resume and is also integral to the community of grad students we have here at Drexel. Our department climate is one of the best things about Drexel!

The positions available are:
President - arranges meetings, liaison to the department, makes the magic happen
VP of Finance - the big ol' moneybags
VP of Events - plans all the fun and educational events!
VP of Diversity - advocates for URM students regarding PGSA official business
Communications Officer - keeps the social media and website updated

Please send in your nominations ASAP to one of the PGSA board! We'll have elections on the Week 3 PGSA talk and the new board will start training and will start their responsibilities in late May.
