Come Read, Imagine, Play, and Create in the 4th floor art studio at UCAL this weekend! My name is Jacob Kerner and I am an early childhood educator, local artist, and lover of picture books/children's literature. I have my masters and reading specialist training from the UPenn Graduate School of Education. My partner and I reside in Cedar Park and I work as the lead teacher in a preK1 classroom at
the Parent Infant Center. Read Imagine Play Create (RIPC for short) is a chance for your 3-6 year old to spend a few hours entering the world of an artful picture book through acts of expression! We'll read one specific picture book in a particularly interactive style to start class, then play and imagine our way into an art project based on the read aloud experience. We meet for 2 hours total at UCAL, I will supply all materials on site. The cost for each two hour class is $40 per student, and you are free to either stay with us in the studio during the experience, hang out close by downstairs at UCAL, or drop your child off and pick them up promptly at the end of class. My pediatric 1st aid/CPR certification, child abuse history clearance, and Pennsylvania and Federal Bureau of Investigation criminal history background checks are all up to date and available to see at your request.
