Closing out the year with some friendly competition on Rainbow Day! We had a sponge relay race, tug-o-war, and a school-wide rock-paper-scissors tournament, all planned and facilitated by our Student Council. The faculty and staff even got involved, this year! 🌈🧽πŸͺ£πŸͺ¨πŸ—’οΈβœ‚οΈπŸ†

Yesterday, sixth graders celebrated their Rite of Passage. After studying Africa through topics including ecology, fair trade cocoa, stories of resistance, and contemporary culture, students shared performances, projects, music, and personal reflections with family, teachers, and friends. The evening concluded with the bead ceremony, where loved ones recognized each student’s journey and growth throughout the year.

Thank you to the sixth grade team, music, and art teachers for their guidance and support throughout this process. We are so proud of the curiosity, creativity, and courage our students brought to this special night. Read more on our blog: tpschool.org/blog

Yesterday, third grade took a field trip to the Baltimore Museum of Industry. Capping off their year-long study of Building a More Fair USA, they immersed themselves in the history of labor, factory technology, and discussions of the inequality of segregated work. So much of what they learned this year came to life in this hands-on exploration!

Preschool A’s space study has filled the classroom with rockets, constellations, astronauts, and big curiosity. After exploring the stars, moon landings, and the International Space Station, students had the chance to send questions directly to astronaut Chris Williams, currently aboard the station. He wrote back with answers straight from space! πŸ›°πŸ‘©β€πŸš€πŸŒŒπŸŒŽ

This week, middle school students had the chance to take mini courses! These classes are taught by faculty, staff, alumni, and eighth graders and offer a different kind of learning beyond the academic curriculum. Sewing, Thai cooking, dodgeball, journaling, collage, and tea making are just some of the creative offerings this year!

Thank you to everyone who celebrated EATS 2026 with us on Friday! Because of our community's generosity, we raised over $150,000 in support of our teachers. Not only did we surpass our goal, but we also raised the most funds of any EATS to date!
