Four of our recent grads -- Carter, Gavin, Alex, and Dennis -- are making a real impact across Philadelphia with their passion project, Kind Strangers. “Cura personalis” (care for the whole person) isn’t just something taught in our classrooms; it’s a mindset our Hawks take into the world.

When Carter Karpinski, BA ’25, recognized how many neighbors in Philadelphia needed a helping hand with everyday tasks, he didn’t hesitate. Together with fellow Hawks Gavin Kuebler, BS '25, Alexander Andahazy, BA '25, and Dennis Coyne, BS '25, he founded Kind Strangers, a pay-what-you-can service providing assistance with everything from yard work and furniture assembly to grocery runs.
