🇺🇸 Happy Independence Day & Happy 250th Birthday, America! 🇺🇸

As we celebrate 250 years of liberty, let us remember the timeless principles upon which our nation was founded—freedom, integrity, unity, and service to one another.

The Brethren of William Penn Harmony Lodge No. 52 proudly join our fellow Americans in honoring the vision, sacrifice, and perseverance that gave birth to this great nation. Standing in the shadow of Independence Hall, where history was forged, we are reminded that the virtues of Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth continue to strengthen our communities today.

May this Independence Day inspire us to preserve the blessings of liberty for generations to come.

Happy 4th of July, and Happy 250th Birthday, America!

Fraternally,
William Penn Harmony Lodge No. 52

6/9/2026 - June Stated Meeting

On June 9th, members of William Penn Harmony Lodge No. 52 gathered together for our usual monthly meeting, and had an interesting presentation on Masonic cowboys by our WM, bro. Michael Welch.

Among the historical brethren talked about, included Davey Crockett, James Bowie, Anson Jones, Colonel Sanders , as well as Buffalo Bill (William F. Cody).

In a surprise turn of events, our WM disclosed that he is indeed a member of the International Cody Family Association with a genealogy tracing back to Buffalo Bill himself. We’ve got a cowboy amongst us!

The meeting was followed by friendly fellowship at Fergie’s Pub with some brothers from Lodge 2.
Thank you fo a wonderful evening.

5/5/2026 - WPH 52 Stated Meeting

Unique circumstances allowed our lodge to host our May stated meeting in our Masonic Temple’s Wanamaker Hall. Thank you to the temple staff and team to help us make this happen. It is to our knowledge that we are the first and only lodge to ever meet in this room for an official stated meeting.

It is most fitting considering that a majority of our members are or were organ builder staff at the Wanamaker pipe organ nearby. We are delighted to carry on Bro. John Wanamaker’s memory in this room named after him.

We must also point out that it is our brother JW, Bill Rhoda’s first time serving in the East! Due to personal conflicts, our WM and SW were not able to make it. But bro. Bill did an excellent job conducting our lodge!

4/19 - Masonic Gun Range Day!

Thank you all for an excellent trip to the gun range! We had the whole gun range to ourselves, after hours, thanks to our brother Tony. We had 15 attendees (some not pictured) along with a wide assortment of awesome and interesting guns! The evening ended with some delicious pizza and great laughs.

Another thank you to the beginners who picked up instructions and were wonderful to teach!

Looking forward to future gun range trips!

By: Masha Zharova

A wonderful presentation from a dear friend to the Lodge and Esoteric Nights, Masha Zharova, for providing an incredibly interesting and technical presentation about the complexities of a world of different Constructed Languages, their histories, and the problems they were designed to solve.

Thank you Masha for your delightful presentation!

Rituals of the World
By: Andrew Guthrie, FC (WPH 52)

A thought provoking presentation from a new member of WPH 52, Andrew Guthrie, FC, who provided an incredibly interesting presentation about the core parts of rituals around the world. Our discussions also expand to why societies need ritual ceremonies in all corners of the world, including even our modern world like sports and games.

Thank you Andrew for your presentation!
