Employee skills training keeps both the employee and their employer competitive, relevant and in-demand. CCP’s Workforce and Economic Development Network of PA (WEDnetPA) partner program helps employers provide the necessary training their teams deserve to keep them moving forward.

We are offering qualified companies a free information session to learn more about how WEDnetPA can help their business, how to apply, who is eligible, what is covered and how Community College of Philadelphia will assist you as a new partner.

The WEDnetPA Information Session will be held on Wednesday, September 20 from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Community College of Philadelphia, Center for Business and Industry, Room C2-5.

Career Threads, CCP's one-stop shop for free professional and business casual clothing for students, is officially open. Every Monday-Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., students can stop by Career Connections in C1-34 to explore our diverse selection of jackets, pants, shirts, dresses, shoes and more!

Students will be eligible to receive one complete outfit each semester. If you're interested in contributing clothing, please drop off your washed, gently used donations in our suite during operating hours.

The College’s Director of Power Up Your Business, Tiffany Spraggins, will be a featured speaker at Center City Business Association's Women Changing the City Series on Wednesday, September 13, at 8 a.m. the series showcases Philadelphia business women who are changing the city, sharing their stories of leadership, challenges and triumphs. Tiffany has grown in her position as director and assists in the development of other small business owners in Philadelphia.

CCP partners with companies like Hand and Stone to provide interviews for students as they progress through the Massage Therapy program or are officially licensed with the state. Franchises are independently owned and offer varying opportunities depending on its employment needs.

The College has worked with these facilities to place students and fill many of their open positions. Students have been able to work in their desired environments as massage assistants while they complete training to secure their Massage Therapy license. Students have completed the program with professional training and working experience, preparing them for a successful career in the most sought after spa settings.
