Due to collective feedback from our cherished volunteers, we will be postponing our Volunteer Appreciation Dinner until this upcoming spring so that more individuals are able to attend this special evening. We can’t believe another summer is already drawing to an end 🌅!! We had such a blast with our Pony Campers last week, teaching them about barn chores, horse care & horsemanship, complete with riding lessons & crafts! We think they had an awesome time too 😎

We wanted to take a moment to thank all of our wonderful participants from The Garden Recovery and Wellness who have been joining us for our ongoing unmounted equine-assisted learning program this summer ✨ It’s been an absolute joy to spread the healing gifts of our therapy horses with this community, and to witness these individuals grow in their recovery journeys through unique opportunities for connection, team-building, self-awareness, and focus 🌱

We look forward to continue building such a rewarding partnership with you all!! 🐴🩵

🎉 Congratulations to Nellie Shorts! 🎉
Nellie’s journey with Pegasus began six years ago when she joined us as a volunteer and quickly fell in love with our program. Since then, she has continued to dedicate her time to Pegasus, volunteering and spending many summers working as a horse handler for our summer programs.
After recently completing her sophomore year at Centenary University, where she is involved with the Therapeutic Riding At Centenary - TRAC program, Nellie returned to Pegasus this summer in a new role as one of our summer program instructors!
We’re even more excited to celebrate her latest accomplishment: Nellie is now officially a PATH Intl. Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor (CTRI)! 🐴💙
We couldn’t be more thrilled to see Nellie continue to grow within the field of Equine Assisted Services, and we’re so proud to have her as part of the Pegasus team.
