Brandywine Workshop and Archives Founded in 1972, a diversity-driven arts organization dedicated to printmaking and arts education

Founded to provide opportunities for culturally diverse artists to explore printmaking as a fine art form and assist students and young artists in their professional advancement by providing residencies, exhibitions, mentoring, instruction and advocating for recognition and support. BWA also sponsors Artist Residency programs involve emerging, mid-career and well-established national and internati

onal artists. The organization makes gift/purchases of visiting artist prints to art museums, universities and heritage centers in the U.S. and abroad to establish “satellite collections” as a means to preserve and present its diversity-driven art collection.

Through mindfulness, music, and guided reflection, Spirits Up will invite participants to slow down, engage with the artwork in a new way, and reflect on the enduring cultural legacy of jazz and blues. Spend this day of wellness with us at Brandywine Workshop and Archives.

On Wednesday, 26th of August, we welcomed the Inti Media and Kontan Creative Studios team and guests to celebrate the release of Afrolatinidad Out Loud. This new season is the second installment of Diálogos, Inti Media’s podcast exploring the voices, stories, and ideas shaping Afro-Latin communities today. 

Hosted by Debora Reaves Charmelus and Gabriela Watson-Burkett, the gathering brought together leaders, change-makers, artists, and innovators from across the arts and cultural sectors for an evening of connections.

Sprawling across The Fire House Gallery and The Printed Image Gallery, the release also included a guided tour of the Brandywine Workshop & Archives’ printing facilities and a demonstration by our Master Printer Justine Ditto.
