The region’s longest-running conference focused on creating pathways to brighter futures for individuals and families affected by autism.
La Salle University’s annual autism conference brings educators, caregivers, self-advocates, researchers, and professionals from the autism community together for a special day of collaboration and networking. It is the region’s longest-running conference focused on creating pathways to brighter futures for individuals and families affected by autism. The theme of the 2017 autism conference is Bui
lding Bridges: Transitioning toward and through Adulthood. Its goal is to share best practices – from science to advocacy – to help those on the autism spectrum navigate life’s transitionary challenges successfully and achieve an optimal quality of life. The conference this year will focus on promoting successful transitions, beginning in early intervention, transition planning through high school, and challenges through early adulthood. We are offering workshops that highlight innovative best practices that help people diagnosed on the autism spectrum and their supports realize an optimal quality of life. We have an excellent keynote speaker, self-advocate Kerry Magro, as well as a wonderful afternoon plenary led by self-advocate Ari Ne’eman. The day will be kicked off by special guest speaker, Dr. James Connell, the esteemed autism researcher and clinician. Presenting Sponsor: Quest for the Best
