Happy International Day of Peace to you! 🕊️☮️✌️

Today is the International Day of Peace. The International Day of Peace was established in 1981 by the United Nations General Assembly. Two decades later, in 2001, the General Assembly unanimously voted to designate the Day as a period of non-violence and cease-fire. We wish all of our families peace today and everyday. 🕊️☮️✌️

Our school calendars are for sale for $10 and feature beautiful art work of our neighborhood created by our students. Sales will support school programming and improvement projects. You can go to the HSA website to purchase your 2024-2025 school calendars today!

Save the date! We are hosting our first family math festival on March 14th from 5-7 PM. Students in grade K-5 are invited to play games with their families. Middle schoolers will be running the math games. We will be celebrating PI day with pizza pies and sweet pies. We will have to go containers for all families fasting for Ramadan. We hope to see you there! 🍕🥧

Thank you to Ms. Pam for sharing her exhibit “Hidden in Plain View” with our students. The fabrics, artifacts, and history lessons were beautiful.

Volunteers are needed to help at the event with set up, ticket sales, ushering, and clean up. All volunteers receive 2 free tickets! Early-bird ticket pricing, through Friday, February 23: $10 for audience members (tickets are not necessary for Talent Show participants)

Children 3 and under are free and may be asked to sit on laps.Day-of-event walk-ins are welcome if space is available for $15 per person.

Yesterday our middle schoolers participated in 100 minutes of service in honor of the 100th day. They made hundreds of sandwiches to stacked the community fridge on 52nd street. Way to go! 💯

Yesterday we celebrated the 100th day of school! Hooray for 100 days! 💯

First graders incubated chicks and it brought so much joy to teachers and students alike. Thank you to the HSA for making this tradition possible! 🐥✨❤️
