CASTLE has selected six faculty members to serve as Faculty Fellows for the Summer 2020 term, with support from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. CASTLE Faculty Fellows will support Drexel faculty who teach undergraduate STEM courses in implementing effective online/remote teaching and learning to ensure high value learning experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic. We look forward to working with our Faculty Fellows and will be posting more information about how you can interact with them and reach out to them for support on the CASTLE website in the coming week.
CASTLE stands in solidarity with the movement to dismantle systemic racism and promote equity and inclusivity. As a community, we are reflecting on our work, ways we can continue to learn about these issues, and how to increase our active support of others in their learning about these issues. We are also committing to additional actions to promote inclusivity within academia and STEM education specifically.

In order to support faculty and staff at Drexel, CASTLE has collected and organized a set of resources that we think may be helpful with the transition to teaching remotely. The information can be found under the RESOURCES tab of the CASTLE website (https://drexel.edu/castle/resources/online-teaching/). We hope you find these resources useful and if you have any others you think belong on our list, please share them with us at [email protected].

Last week, CIRTL partnered with CASTLE at Drexel University to host the 6th National CIRTL Forum. Participants spent three days exploring this year's theme: Preparing Future Faculty as Change Leaders Towards Inclusive STEM Higher Education, by attending our keynote speakers, plenaries and panel discussion topics, and poster sessions. We want to thank everyone who helped make this event such a success, and we hope to continue to enhance STEM undergraduate education.
