Becton Dickinson will be hosting its annual Horizon Educational Event at the University of Pennsylvania on Tuesday, October 14th from 10am-3pm! Featured speakers will discuss panel design, full spectrum cytometry, imaging cytometry, and more. Breakfast and lunch will be provided, allowing plenty of time for networking. Maria (Betina) Pampena and Hongen (Solomon) Wang had a great time learning at the Annual Course in Cytometry! The intensive 5-day course was held at Drexel University this summer. Betina is one of our core facility’s superusers. She received a full scholarship to attend. Solomon is one of our staff members. He has been working for the core for several years as a cell sorter operator. We are thrilled to hear they enjoyed the course and look forward to hearing when and where the next annual course will be held!

Five of our staff members presented at ISAC’s CYTO 2025 conference. We had a great time connecting with numerous cytometrists and vendors from all over the world. Can’t wait until next year’s conference in West Palm Beach, FL!

UPenn had 2 speakers at GLIIFCA this year! Congrats to Mark Painter for receiving the Alex Nakeff Young Investigator Award. Our staff member, Jen Jakubowski, was a selected flash talk speaker. She presented on SortRemedy, a troubleshooting video guide for our cell sorter users.
