"I had a great experience taking a mini lesson from Meghan. I’ve been singing since I was a kid (I’m in my 30s now), but I’ve only sung classical. I’ve never been taught how to belt, but that’s something I’ve been interested in learning. I’ve tried to teach myself but have never been able to do it healthily in a way that creates a pleasant sound and doesn’t hurt my throat. Recently, I worked with Meghan in-person and she gave me a few exercises to help my voice become more comfortable with mixing and belting. By the end of the lesson, I was able to belt a few notes, which is something I’ve never been able to do comfortably. She explained the techniques in a way that was easy for me to understand and follow. I’ve gotten confused trying to learn on YouTube, but the way Meghan explained everything made it click for me. Meghan let me record her demonstrating the exercises and techniques so I could practice at home. It was really helpful for me. I’ve only practiced a few times on my own since then, but I can tell my voice has gotten stronger already. Meghan has a unique gift in working with neurodivergent students. I have both ADHD and autism and Meghan was able to redirect me and keep me focused so I didn’t get distracted. I had a fantastic experience working with Meghan and I highly recommend her as a voice teacher!"
